Plus I was really hung over from the night before And jc1000000 ambushed me as I came out of search around the world session.

Thank you JC for including me in your Video I’m Honoured :)

SEO gets kicked in face by Fox News

Don’t you just love big American corporate networks and the way they twist and turn and beat information to a pulp!

Fox news has recently published a mini article on “Top Online Marketing Jobs to leave you Friendless.”  One of the top jobs fox news flagged as a big red No! No! Is practiced by hundreds of people world wide, it even has communities dedicated to the subject. In fact I think it’s almost like a religion in its own little way. So what am I blabbing on about? Well SEO of course!

Fox’s take on SEO

Search Engine Optimizer

Ever wonder why “nonsense” Web sites sometimes turn up in your search results on Google or Yahoo? That’s because search engine optimizing scammers work full-time to create thousands of other Web sites that link to the spam site. For example, the creator of spamlaw.com is hoping to dupe would-be visitors to spamlaws.com, a legitimate site that bills itself as an online security resource“.

In my opinion it’s a really shitty thing to cast all SEO’s in the same light, simply because we are not all in the same box and we take our Jobs Seriously. Another point I would like to make is that Fox Media have their very own in house SEO team which was headed up by Bill Macaitis , who I think has since moved on .

Its one thing to point the finger and say your crap as I know your industry inside out, But when you make accusations and don’t know your Arse from your elbow when it’s comes to online marketing ! It’s an entirely different matter.

By the way, the really shit SEO dupe example is not a website, it’s a holding page/parked page that most hosting companies put up while you are building your site and want to earn some revenue.

Diageo and Sainsbury’s get into a bottle fight!

Cloned !

Cloned !

War amongst brands is like watching to girls filled with tequila fighting in a pool filled with raspberry Jelly…absolutely Hilarious!!

Diageo are suing the pants off Sainsbury’s over a claim that Sainsbury were to thick to come up with there own design for their new Beverage called “Pitchers” so they copied PIMMS instead.

Diageo are spending Millions on Marketing PIMMS to be a snobby rich mans drink that can be enjoyed regularly at PIMMS O’clock. However after running tests on a group of chavs , Sainsbury’s are pushing their version to not only be cheaper but so much tastier than PIMMS .

The Dispute is a bit of a gamble for Diageo as Sainsbury’s are one of the largest food chains in the UK. Even with proceedings in full flow, Diageo had this to say: “It is Diageo’s firm intent that our strong trading relationship should not be affected by this discreet dispute.”

Sainsbury’s responded by saying it will defend itself “vigorously” against the claim.  Translation: “if you sue us you can take all your stock out our shops and plant it somewhere else.”
