Did you hear the one about the marketing team that ran ten steps ahead of themselves? They royally screwed up their creative display campaign! I bet you’re wondering what in god’s name I’m talking about… Well it so happens that a good friend of mine Merrill while floating around websites a month or two ago stumbled onto a creative for Ireland.com.
Yep that’s right folks somebody forgot to register the god damn domain and Merrilll bought it for the price of a pint. So what lesson can be learned from this Royal feck up? Register your domains if you’re going to use it in your display or Merrill will buy it! www.checklivescoresandresults.com.

When twitter launched a few years ago, early 2006 I didn’t really think much of them but still signed up with the Gobbshite username littletwit , Anyway lately twitter has had this dynamite filled exploding whale effect on search and more on more brands are gravitating towards twitter like sharks in a feeding frenzy.
Why brands use twitter
Brands that use twitter
Dell has a number of twitter accounts and even went as far as creating a dedicated page for all their twitter accounts Dell twitter page
Ryanair have created accounts for each of their destinations that show the latest deals.
StarBucks tweet offers and promotions, amazingly they have 76,155 followers (That’s a truck load of coffeeholics).
Nike created channels or profiles for their products “Nike basketball and Nikeras” I love the Nikeras concept “environmental program to turn worn-out shoes into new products”.
As a Free marketing tool you can’t get any better than twitter, its contextual display advertising without the cost. I for one will make it my mission to become an addict and join the twitteration generation.
